What a surprise to see this pale yellow with an overlay of pink polychrome coming from parents that are either red or almost black. I’m sure that ‘Ruffled Strawberry Parfait’ played a big part with the genetics.
The deeper apple green coming from the heart of the throat out onto the petals turns to a chartreuse green to finally ending in yellow chartreuse way out onto the petals which is huge and can steal your heart away.
Teeth that are closest to the throat have that same pink polychrome but as you look further out onto the petal, the teeth take on a yellow to light gold coloration. There is 3 way branching with a 19 bud count.
‘KC Growls a Warning’ is pod and pollen fertile. Fragrant.
‘KC Growls a Warning’ started to bloom on July 22, 2018 and had its last bloom on August 25, 2018 putting on a long show of blooms that was just delightful.
