Meet Lori-Ann Jones
The start of my hybridizing efforts began in 1993 and by 1996 I was hooked.
Knoll Cottage Daylilies is located on an extremely small lot and is recorded as .15 acres. That is less than a quarter acre, and room is tight for all my seedlings. The pictures below will give you an idea of closeness. When I photograph my seedlings prior to introducing , there are usually daylily plants all around along with labels and markers. It may look like an introduction is in the foliage, but in actuality, it is probably in the foliage of its neighbor. I do not believe in editing a photo other than to crop the picture.
My first introductions began in 2007 and I have been introducing:
Unusual Form daylilies under the prefix 'Whip City'.
Extra Large dayliles under the prefix 'Big Honking' .
Beautiful daylilies under the prefix 'Knoll Cottage'.
Many of my Introductions are hardy in Zone 4. My daylilies thrive as far West as China, as far East as Nova Scotia, Canada, and England, South to Florida and Texas, USA, and North to Lucky Lake, Saskatchewan, Canada.
You can find me in the American Hemerocallis Society Database www.daylilies.org/ under Jones-L. as the hybridizer and see all 153 Introductions. More are on the way, cause I am still on a roll.

This is my husband, Dan. We were a tour garden in 2015 for the Connecticut Daylily Society, Region 4.
Between the second and last bus, we had a huge thunderstorm come thru with tons of rain.
Richard Blanchard is in the background laughing at Dan trying to prepare for the last bus, but in all honesty, I could not hybridize, and do the garden work without this wonderful man of mine.
I thank God for all the wonderful daylilies we have hybridized together. I also thank God for this loving husband, that should be declared a saint; for putting up with me, and my daylily addiction.
